They were well received at the London exhibitions and garnered media coverage including an interview on BBC Radio. From heron, she developed a clear affinity to designs that add meaning while bringing about a sense of well-being and harmony to any living space.
After 5 years in London when she resumed her design journey in India, she identified the potential for International designs and decided to leverage her experience in design and exposure to international trends for this opportunity. As the first come-back project, She designed an 18000 square feet area high-end residential project in Hyderabad for the Solankis' along with 3 centers of excellence for the prestigious Apollo group of Hospitals.
She now felt the need to create a platform that allows design professionals and budding talents from all over the world to collaborate with her for innovative and creative design concepts.
That's how design stories and dsGC (design stories global connect) were born. Her vision at design stories is to create the best design team that can deliver contemporary and meaningful designs.
Her design language is a mix of simple, minimalistic and contemporary reflecting an international taste. Some of her signature styles include working on a plain shell and adding colors, light effects, distressed finishes and concrete textures.
She follows Tadao Ando, Rem Koolhaas, Sandeep Khosla and Steve Jobs for inspiration.
Shyama enjoys yoga and spirituality. However, going forward she sees herself going adventurous with martial arts, horse-riding and sports bikes!
